A career in the British Army is both rewarding and satisfying and one of the most sort after the races. Like many other of the other forces a military career in the military offers a stable and secure job, especially in these times of financial crisis. Like the navy, and in fact many other services, such as the police service or the service that they are always in demand and result in offering a highly desirable career.
The origin of the British Army dates back to around 1707 with the unification of England to Scotland and the UK result. Since its formation the British army has continued to grow and develop, and their role has changed according to their time in history. For example, the military plays today a much more important peace keeping role and evidence of this can be seen with recent events in Afghanistan.
The current strength of the British army is about 100,000 troops in total support of all several different roles of the soldiers to dentists and technicians. There are more than 25,000 troops as part of the Territorial Army. The positions within the army are enormous and there are many opportunities for an individual to develop a long term career as promotional opportunities arise.
The Army also is limited skills and expects to include people from all walks of life no matter what qualifications they have acquired. For example, there are positions available for graduates engineering just out of college and 16 who has just left school with GCSE.
Many young men and women to join apply each year and a number of them do not exceed the application process due to lack of preparation. The British Army selection process is designed to test their suitability for life in the Army. It can be a difficult process unless they are prepared and can be a nerve wracking one too.
If you finish preparing the role you want to achieve then the fruits of insurmountable. You will receive a good salary, often given the opportunity to travel abroad, given the opportunity work as part of one of the most professional and respected organizations in the world and to give back to their country.
In the Central Selection Army to be submitted to the team, both physically and mentally. The purpose of the center is to confirm its suitability for your chosen career in the Army. Remember that you have committed to join the army at this time.
This is also an opportunity for you to see if military life is for you and is a good opportunity for you to sample what to expect if you decide to pursue a career in the Armed Forces.
